Join the Richmond Memorial Library to have fun all summer long!

This year’s theme is Read, Renew, Repeat and will run from June 20 to August 24. Just like the changing seasons, our lives go through cycles. We try new things, learn about ourselves and the world around us, grow and change, and feel brand new! This summer we’re embracing the idea that things can be used in different ways, recycled and refreshed, and given new life. Even us! Revive your senses, explore new ways of doing things, help the world around you – all while reading and learning new things. Adults who stop by the library to register for the summer reading program will receive a free Richmond Memorial Library book light!

Here’s how this year’s program will work:

  • Fill out a book review ticket for each book you read throughout the summer. Book reviews only need to be 2-3 sentences long (tell us something you liked or didn’t like about the book!).
  • If you attend an adult library program this summer, you can fill out a bonus ticket.
  • Instead of weekly prizes, this year the library is offering the chance to win one of two grand prizes at the end of the summer: A smart bird feeder with bird watching camera (valued at over $200) or a $100 Amazon gift card.
  • Enter your ticket into the jar with the prize you’re most interested in winning at the end of summer by end of day on Saturday, August 24.
  • We’ll hold our grand prize drawings on the evening of our summer reading finale (Monday, August 26) and contact the winner (you don’t have to be present to win).
  • Prizes must be picked up by Friday, September 27, or they are forfeited.
