The Richmond Memorial Library is always looking for people to join our Friends of the Library group. Some of the fundraising projects the Friends group are involved in include: the spring and fall book sales, board game and puzzle sales, a spring plant sale, and the holiday auction. The Friends have also been hosting Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, and Munson’s Chocolates fundraisers. Members of the Friends help the library through projects like weeding and gardening as well as acting as advocates of the library to promote library services. There are also fun programs sponsored by the Friends, including an upcoming Pottery Paint Night being planned for this spring.

The Friends of the Library are currently fundraising for a couple items, including Tonie Boxes and characters (which will be available later this year) and new picnic tables.

The Friends of the Library meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm (except in June and July). If you’re interested in attending the next meeting, email Library Director Aubrey Muscaro at amuscaro@richmondlibrary.info. Meetings are currently being held in the second floor meeting room but accommodations will be made for ADA accessibility as needed.
